Three legs, each with its own mode of transport. The transshipment point is Riga: here the cargo changes mode, clears customs and, if needed, waits in the warehouse.

By road to any EU or CIS country — as a full or part load.
When a multimodal route pays off
Rail from China is faster than sea and cheaper than air. A multimodal solution makes sense when:
- the cargo is too large for air, but sea is too slow;
- deliveries from one supplier in Asia are regular;
- consignees are in several EU countries — we distribute from Riga;
- customs clearance and storage are needed in one place.

Who is responsible when three different carriers move the cargo?
We are. In multimodal transport there is one contract, and Transport Solutions is responsible for the cargo throughout — whichever leg is being performed.
Can I track the cargo in transit?
Yes — we report each stage (loading, border, port, transshipment in Riga, delivery) by e-mail or phone.
Do you also handle cargo from Europe to Asia?
Yes, the route works the same way in reverse: we collect the cargo in the EU, consolidate in Riga and ship by rail or sea.
